Trout Brook fire company to hold car show

Chester —The Trout Brook Engine and Hose Company of the Chester Fire Department will hold its second annual car and motorcycle show and fund raising barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 19, from noon to 4 p.m., at fire house, 712 Lakes Road, Monroe. (Rain date is Aug. 26.) Anyone wishing to pre register their autos or motorcycles may go to www.chesterfiredepartment.org and click on “car show.” The registration fee is $10 per car or motorcycle. Registration on the day of the show starts at 11 a.m. Admission for spectators is free. Trophies will be given in the following categories: up to 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Winners will be determined by ballot from everyone who attends. Burgers, hotdogs, soda, water, chips and popcorn will be sold and door prizes raffled off. The winner of the department’s $1,000 raffle will be announced at the end of the show.
