Chester —Bring the kids to the firehouse to have breakfast, meet Santa, and pick out a Christmas tree. The Trout Brook Engine and Hose Company is holding its 14th annual Christmas tree sale at the firehouse, located at 712 Lakes Road (between Monroe and Greenwood Lake). The sale, which started Thursday, runs until Dec. 24, or until the fire company is sold out. A variety of trees of different sizes are available, from three to over ten feet tall. Also for sale are decorated and un-decorated wreaths and white pine roping. For the best pick, shop early, the firefighters suggest. They will deliver trees to residences five miles or less from the firehouse within 24 hours of purchase. Santa will visit Trout Brook on Sunday, Dec. 10, for the company’s annual Santa Breakfast, to be served from 8 a.m. to noon. An all-you-can-eat buffet-style breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, juice, coffee, and tea. A 50/50 raffle will be sold at the door. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and children, and free for children under five. Parents should bring a camera to take pictures of their children with Santa.
