Tree lighting ceremony at county park in Montgomery
Montgomery The annual tree lighting ceremony sponsored by the Orange County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, at the Graham M. Skea Parks and Recreation Center at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, located on Route 416 in Montgomery. Admission is free. Santa and Mrs. Claus will light the large evergreen in front of the building and preside over the festivities. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Walden School Chorus under the direction of Sharon Satkowski. Santa will meet with children to hear their Christmas wish list, pose for photos, and pass out candy canes. Light holiday refreshments will be available. The public is invited to donate a toy to the county’s annual toy drive, Santa’s Toy Box, which will be located in the lobby of the recreation center.
