Track auxiliary holds ‘February Frolic'

Goshen — On Feb. 13, the Auxiliary of Goshen Historic Track held its annual dessert and coffee meeting at Catherine’s Restaurant where the winners of the “February Frolic” dining raffle were drawn. The winner of the $100 gift certificate to the Bull’s Head Inn was Joe Cacciolfi. M. Congelosi won the dinner for two at Catherine’s Restaurant and Nancy Pepin won the dinner for two at the Club Ontaroga. Jason Franks won the dinner for two at the Copper Bottom and Diane Shorter won the dinner for two at Delancy’s. The winner of the dinner for two at Gus’s Tavern was Sylvia Contes. Joe Dembeck won the dinner for two at LeBaron Restaurant and Terri Sowers was the winner for two for Ye Jolly Onion Inn. Bob McClorey was the winner for the dinner for two at Limoncello at the Orange Inn and Tom Guerino was the winner for the lunch for two at 88 Charles St. Café. The auxiliary would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets and helped support this very successful fund-raiser. A special thanks goes out to the restaurants who graciously donated the prizes and to M&M Produce Farms who sponsored the raffle tickets. Matinee Racing at the Historic Track will be on June 7,14, and 21. Grand Circuit racing will continue on July 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 during Great American Weekend, with post time at 1 p.m. for all of the races. A kickoff concert is planned for June 29 at the track, featuring the music of “Twist and Shout.”
