‘Time Transformed’ fund raiser kicks off the 18th annual Warwick Summer Arts Festival

WARWICK — A town’s growth and merit are often measured by how it has transformed through time into an economically, culturally and recreationally robust community.
Whether induced or spontaneous, the transformation that has led the development and expansion of the arts in Warwick cannot be attributed to one singular initiative or any one era.
The Warwick Summer Arts Festival’s (WSAF) repurposed clock fund-raising project, Time Transformed, produces art recognizing the transformation of the Town of Warwick through the years.
Artists skilled in a multitude of mediums accepted the challenge of transforming an object of their choice into a unique, functioning clock representing the transformation theme of this year’s arts festival.
Heidi Lanino Bilezikian and Janet Howard-Fatta, Warwick- based artists, managed the call for artists, the distribution of the clock mechanics, the storefront display and the silent-auction of the completed clocks.
