Tickets go on sale Monday for Pippin' at Warwick Valley High School

Warwick - This March the Warwick Valley High School Drama Club will present the Stephen Schwartz Broadway hit, “Pippin,” for its annual musical production. One of Broadway’s most loved and produced musicals, this hip, tongue-in-cheek fairy tale chronicles the story of young Pippin in his quest to find a fulfilling and meaningful life. The energetic, pop-influenced score bursts with one show-stopping number after another, from soaring ballads to infectious dance numbers, including “Magic to Do” and “Corner of the Sky.” For this production, more than 40 cast members and 20 crew members are collaborating to make their own magic to ensure our audiences’ good time. Pippin is under the direction of the club’s advisor, Nick DiLeo, with musical direction by David Crone and Barbara Welch. Choreography is by Beth Maisonet, while Medie Ann Close and Donna Nestor are behind the scenes producing the production. Tickets are $9 general admission and $7 for children ten and under and senior citizens age 65 and older. Pippin will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14, and at 1 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15. Advance tickets will go on sale Monday, Feb. 25, at 8 a.m., and can be reserved by calling the Drama Club’s box office at 987-3050, voice mail box #4100, and following the instructions on the recorded message.
