Thrilling' performances earn dance awards

Dancers from Terpsichore the Dancerschool in Harriman participated in the Dancer’s Inc. Competition, along with other regional dance schools, held Feb. 2 in Newark, N.J. with successful results: the girls received six high silver awards and one gold award for their jazz and tap routines. Award winning dances included the 42-member “Thriller” performance, choreographed by Denise Carter and Kerry Connelly, which was also the grand finale at the school’s 2007 recital. Another award winner was the jazz dance “September,” choreographed by Denise Carter, which featured, from the left: Nicole Michaels, Krista Esposito, Anna Jakubek, Amanda Bochonski and Katherine Steinhoff.
