Third annual benefit concert for the Warwick Valley Community Center

    Warwick — The Warwick Valley Community Center, 11 Hamilton Road, will host a concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 29. The Bernstein-Bard Trio, www.bernsteinbardtrio.com, and Ken and Julie, www.kenandjulie.com, will perform. Tickets are $12 and reservations will be honored on a first-call basis, 986-6422. The Bernstein-Bard Trio is made up of Steve Bernstein on the mandolin, Mark Berstein on the guitar, and Robert Bard on the bass. They perform standards by Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Django Reinhart, George Gershwin, Latin or tango by Jobim, Bonfa, Bizet, the music of John Lennon, Sting, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, David Grisman, Jerry Garcia, and their own original compositions. Ken and Julie are a recently paired husband-and-wife team. Ken and Julie’s debut album “The Dream” features 16 of Ken’s original songs. Reviewers have described his music and lyrics as “personal, yet universal in scope, poignant and heartfelt, effectively expressive of human emotions.”
