Marking the culmination of Humanities New York’s (HNY) efforts to mark the women’s suffrage centennial of New York State (and, this year, of the nation) HNY is launching the “Amended” podcast, a six-part series about the ongoing struggle for women’s voting rights.

Launching on Aug. 26, “Amended” travels from the 1800’s to the present day to show us a quest for women’s full equality that has always been as diverse, complex and unfinished as the nation itself.

Listen to the trailer, featuring host Dr. Laura Free, an HNY board member and historian of women and politics. Subscribe to “Amended” wherever you get your podcasts, whether on iTunes, Spotify, Sticher, iHeartRadio, Pocket Casts or another platform.

To be the first to know as new episodes are released, be sure to sign up for the “Amended” newsletter. Along the way, we will share reading lists, discussion questions for hosting a conversation, and bonus episodes from other podcasts that expand upon the themes of “Amended.”
