The Tula Tsalis Film Series opens April 13 with 'Forks Over Knives'

WARWICK — The Tula Tsalis Film Series will screen its first film, "Forks Over Knives," on Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in the Warwick Community Center, 11 Hamilton Ave., Warwick.
This award-winning film focuses on the dangers of ignoring the impact and healing potentials of food, the great harm done by placing profits over food safety and the failures off our regulatory systems to protect the public.
The film examines the claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.
There will be a lively open discussion after the film. Informed resource people will attend to answer any technical questions. Snacks and beverages will be served. The event is free, but contributions to help defray costs will be accepted.
Please join us in honoring the memory of a woman who dedicated her life to promoting public awareness on a wide variety of issues concerning personal and social well being.
Tsalis was a political organizer, educator and community activist, deeply committed to social justice, peace and environmental sustainability. She passed away on July 31, 2017.
