The circus, the space race, hiking the AT and taking better family photos WARWICK. Albert Wisner Public Library marks the tenth anniversary of its building with a series of programs this month.

Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages: Come to the Albert Wisner Public Library for a performance by the Piccolo Circus on Sunday, July 14, at 3 p.m. on the library’s River Birch Patio.
In celebration of the Library’s tenth anniversary on McFarland Drive, the community is invited to join ringmaster Karen Gersch for a big show featuring acrobatics, juggling, lasso spinning, clowns and more.
All of the performers are professional circus acts: Li Liu/acrobatics; Will Shaw/clown and juggler; A.J Silver/lasso and rope spinning and Karen Gersch/ringmaster and clown!
The performance will be outdoors on the Library’s River Birch Patio. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
The library can accommodate all who wish to attend outdoors.
In the case of inclement weather, the performance will be in the Community Room.
Seating there is limited to the first 80 people who are registered.

Relive the dramatic “Space Race” from the pioneering Mercury and Gemini flights to the first Apollo Moon landing, and the lesser-known scientific missions that followed. Learn about the visionaries and scientists who made space travel possible, and the brave American astronauts who risked their lives to boldly travel into the unknown.
Presented by author Kevin Woyce, this lecture is illustrated with historic photos and vintage concept art.

The Appalachian Trail runs right through Warwick. Come learn what to expect and how to hike Warwick's ten-mile section of the trail.
Program will include suggested routes, how to dress, safety and what to bring along.
A Memorable Photo - Five Different Approaches
Tuesday, July 16,at 6 p.m.
Calling all photography buffs! Join the members of the Quintet Photographers Capturing Life for a discussion of how to capture that memorable shot of the family, nature, a special event and more.
Photography by the Quintet is currently on display in the Library’s Community Room.
