Thayer Hotel to host Latin Music Night on April 28
West Point The historic Thayer Hotel at West Point is calling all Latin music lovers to put on their dancing shoes for an exiting night of music at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 28. The evening will feature Larry Harlow and his 12-piece Latin Legends Salsa Band, as well as dance performances with the Latin Jubilee Dancers. Born in Brooklyn, Larry Harlow is a true living legend of Afro-Cuban music. A graduate of the New York High School of Music and Art, he excelled on oboe, flute, violin, bass and the instrument that he is most noted for, the piano. After making a name for himself as a top bandleader, he signed with Fania records, where he has produced over 260 CDs for various artists. He also holds a B.A. in music from Brooklyn College and a master’s degree in philosophy from the New School of Social Research in New York City. Harlow and the Latin Legends will be touring Europe, Japan, China, the Caribbean and the West Coast of the U.S., this summer. Ticket prices for the show only are $45, including appetizers and cocktail, or $100 for dinner and the show. Overnight packages are $339 per couple including show, dinner and breakfast buffer or $379 per coupled for show, dinner and Sunday brunch.
