Tensile Theatre to present Threshold'

Warwick The Tensile Theatre Company will be presenting “Threshold,” their new site-specific performance, at Warwick Unitarian Chapel in early March. The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday March 2; Saturday, March 3; Tuesday, March 6; Wednesday, March 7; Friday, March 9; and Saturday, March 10. In this performance, Tensile Theatre invites you to witness the reunion of a man and a woman in a building pertinent to their shared past. However, the true nature of the event is soon revealed, and they are forced to make public confessions about their private selves. The exposure leaves the actors hurt and vulnerable, but offers the potential for change on a fundamental level. This forced rite of passage’ explores the voyeuristic relationship between performer and audience, focussing on the secret parts of ourselves that are never spoken, finding humour in confession and reconciliation. Tensile Theatre is a cooperative theatre company based in Warwickshire, England. It is committed to the creation of new and innovative theatre accessible to all. Using devising techniques, improvisation and personal writing they are interested in using spectators as witnesses of private ritual. Further details available from www.tensiletheatre.co.uk.
