Tell us your story: Playback Theatre will act it out

WARWICK — Playback Theatre is coming to Warwick. Join the Albert Wisner Public Library's senior improvisational troupe for an afternoon of interactive, spontaneous performance on Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at the library.
Playback Theatre is an original form of improvisational theatre in which audience members tell stories from their lives and then watch the actors re-enact them on the spot.
The "conductor," or emcee, for this performance is Judy Swallow of Community Playback Theatre of Highlands. Swallow was a founding member of the original Playback Theatre Company in 1975. She has taught Playback Theatre both locally and internationally, and is pleased that Playback Theatre is now practiced and performed in more than 50 countries.
Swallow also is co-director of the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute in New Paltz. She is a certified Rubenfeld Synergy practitioner and teacher, and has a private practice in New Paltz.
The library invites community members to share a story and see it performed, or just to attend for a creative entertaining theater experience.
