GOSHEN — Orange County’s chefs and craft brew masters have access to a bounty of farm fresh ingredients and they know how to use it.

Farm Dinner with Chef Shawn Hubbell, Soons Orchard, 23 Soons Circle, New Hampton
Friday, March 8, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Indulge in four courses of food, fun, and learning with an interactive dinner featuring the talents of Chef Shawn Hubbell. Enjoy appetizer and samplings of hard cider and unique cocktails as you browse the curated selection of wines and ciders to pair with your dinner.

• Maple Sugar Tours, Outdoor Discovery Center at Hudson Highlands Nature Museum in Chester.
Saturdays and Sundays through March 17, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Head outdoors for a tour of the sugar bush and learn how to identify and tap sugar maple trees, discover centuries-old sugaring techniques and finish the day by participating in a "sweet" taste test challenge.
