Taste of Goshen this weekend

    Goshen — More than twenty area restaurants and caterers are coming to the Harness Racing Museum in Goshen on Sunday, June 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. for this year’s Taste of Goshen. Attendees will enjoy ribs, chili, chicken Toscana, fried rice and lo mein, Sicilian pizza bits, pastries and cupcakes, to name a few food items, as well as wine tasting and music by the Nth Degree. The event supports the many good works of Goshen Rotarians including its $10,000 pledge to Orange Regional Medical Center, $21,000 pledge to the Goshen Rotary Scholarship Foundation, sponsoring high school sophomores to a five-day leadership program, dictionaries to all of Goshen’s third graders and students’ one-year international exchange. Tickets for $30 are available by calling 360-1424 or from any Goshen Rotarian. Gratitude goes to the following for donating their food and wine: RoccoRoma, Jimmy Changa’s, Howell’s Deli Café, JonAngelo’s, Limoncellos, Copper Bottom, Delanceys, GW’s American Burgers, 170 West Main, Holberts Catering, Elsie’s Luncheonette, Olympic Pizza, Goshen Chinese Kitchen, New St. Tavern, Dragon House, Goshen Plaza Diner, Entenmann’s, Glen Arden, Maureen Mullany’s and High Withers. Plus, James Murray Florist will provide table flowers. A cash bar will be available. The event is timed to coincide with the conclusion of the races at next door’s Goshen Historic Track which are free that day in honor of Orange County Day.
