| 29 Sep 2011 | 01:08

Chester — On Saturday, April 5, William Winn, president of Winn Cards & Comics in Historic Downtown Chester, will talk about the game of baseball: how it once was, how it has changed over the years, what it is like now. Chester has had a long history with the game - from active league play starting in the late nineteenth century - to being a favorite hangout of Babe Ruth in the 1940’s - to today’s batters and fielders. This event, sponsored by the Chester Historical Society, will be held at 2 p.m. at the 1915 Erie Station, at 19 Winkler Place, Chester. Refreshments will be served.
