Sweet Adelines' Song of the Valley returns to Madison Square Garden

Goshen — The Sweet Adelines International Song of the Valley Chapter are scheduled to perform again this year at Madison Square Garden on Friday, August 11, at the WNBA women’s professional basketball game between Liberty and Charlotte. Directed by Lisbet P. Kline, the chorus will not only sing the National Anthem in acappella four-part harmony, but will also take part in the pre-game show. “What a thrill to perform in such a great arena, to walk the walk of so many famous stars of the sport and entertainment world. If you’ve ever dreamed of being a DIVA, this is as close as it gets,” said Elaine Flynn. Closer to home, they performed on Sunday, June 11, for the Middletown Elks’ Flag Day ceremonies at the Middletown Lodge, as well as for the NY State Elks Convention at the Nevele in May.
