Middletown — The Apprentice Players at SUNY Orange will perform “Suburbia,” a play by Eric Bogosian, at the college’s Orange Hall Theatre, April 6-7, and April 13-15. This five-show run, about disaffected college students, will be directed by SUNY Orange alumnus George G. Gallo. The five principal characters are wasting away their lives, harassing the store owners and reliving their high school glory days, when their old friend Pony arrives in a long, black stretch limousine. Pony is the semi-famous lead singer of a rock band that has a song on the charts, and his arrival unleashes a wide range of emotions from the five friends still stuck in their small town. Audience members are advised that this play is not for children and contains strong language and themes that some may find objectionable. Showtimes are 8 p.m. for all performances, except the April 15 show, which will begin at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are: $10, general admission; $8, senior citizens, faculty and alumni; $4, students; and free for active duty military personnel. For reservations, call 341-4789. For more information, contact the Arts and Communication Department at 341-4790. Orange Hall Theatre, located in Orange Hall, is universally accessible. General parking is available in the college parking lot at the intersection of Wawayanda and Grandview Avenues.
