Summer music in Warwick

WARWICK — Rain didn’t put a damper on the festivities last Saturday as the Village of Warwick kicked off its 2018 Summer Concert Series; it just moved them inside to the Reformed Church.
But The Como Brothers and Sam Woolf were a hit. Mixing popular covers and originals, this trio brought some sunshine on an otherwise soggy day.
And that was just the first of the summer concerts. There is an entire schedule of shows through Sept. 15, covering all many genres of music.
Pack up your blanket and chairs and head out to Railroad Avenue this Saturday night, May 26, for Stone Flower, a Santana tribute band, starting at 7:30 p.m.
This is the 19th season of the free concerts in the Village of Warwick, which started in June 2000, with four concerts. It’s grown steadily ever since, bring large crowds of music lovers out to socialize, dance and listen to some great music.
This year, the schedule includes favorites including Emish and E’lissa Jones, as well as Latin Night, The Jennys and Reflections, a favorite Grateful Dead tribute band.
Railroad Avenue is closed to traffic about an hour before the shows begin. Shows are held at the Railroad Green and start at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Check the concert series Facebook page for weather-related cancellations and changes as well as more information about the performers.
