— The 9th annual “On the Lawn” free summer concert series has another great line-up scheduled for 2013. The popular concert series will take place on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning July 11 and running through Aug. 15 on the grounds of Sugar Loaf Crossing off Kings Highway, on the edge of town.

July 11 - Things kick-off with the Hudson Valley’s premiere rock band, Hotrod Band. Hotrod’s performance will be packed with the best music of the 60s and 70s.

July 18 - It's the eagerly anticipated return of Parrots Of The Caribbean, the #1 Jimmy Buffet tribute act in the nation. In the past they wowed the record-breaking crowd here in Sugar Loaf with their authentic sounding music and stage antics. They will bring excitement, energy and first class musicianship to an unforgettable show.

July 25 - The evening will begin with a set by a young New Jersey singer-songwriter, Geoff Doubleday. Following Geoff, the Jay Everett Band will take the stage in a set of heartfelt acoustic-based rock that consistently keeps them standing out in a crowded northern New Jersey music scene. Both acts were nominated in this year’s New Jersey Acoustic Music Awards.

Aug. 1 - Enjoy the thrilling return of the Mighty Spectrum Band. MSB is a nine-piece band playing the best of Springsteen, Chicago, the Blues Brothers, Van Morrison, Southside Johnny and much more. This encore to last year’s set is sure to bring everyone to their feet with another rousing and exhilarating performance!

Aug. 8 - Local favorites the Reddan Brothers Band make an appearance on Aug. 8. The Reddan Brothers Band from Warwick are a jammin’ Rock and Blues band. They hit the stage with high energy and appeal.

Aug. 15 - The series will conclude with the unforgettable E’lissa Jones Band, with her remarkable style of folk, rock and pop. The opening slot will be filled by singer-songwriter Alice Leon.

Concerts will take place rain or shine with lawn and tent sections available. Refreshments are available on site, including popcorn, ice cream and grill favorites from Carrera’s Italian Sausage truck. Folks are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets.

“On the Lawn” is the Hudson Valley’s premiere summer concert series. Thousands have enjoyed the array of musical offerings over the past eight years. However, “On the Lawn” at Sugar Loaf Crossing is also about the lovely setting the magical hamlet of Sugar Loaf offers. It’s a great way to kick back with family and friends all summer long!
