Student art show to exhibit at SUNY Orange this spring

Middletown The 3rd Annual Art and Honors Students’ Art Show, titled “A Change of Art,” will extend for one month’s time, from April 19 to May 19, on the campus of the State University of New York at Orange. Close to 150 works will be on display in Orange Hall Galleries, including paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture and three-dimensional pieces, computer graphics, design, and display projects. The exhibit director is Susan Slater-Tanner, assistant professor of art and art history. Exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. The exhibit will also be open for viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 13. An opening reception will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, with jazz music being provided by Dave Miele on drums, Robert Kopec on bass and Beverly Poyerd on piano. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Orange Hall is universally accessible and located at the corner of Wawayanda and Grandview Avenues, Middletown.
