St. Anthony Hospital celebrates with country western theme

WARWICK Don’t be surprised if some guests, wearing jeans and 10 gallon hats, arrive on horseback. The St. Anthony Community Hospital Auxiliary’s 35th annual “Under the Tent” Party, will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, at the Hickory Hill Golf Course, off Route 17A in Warwick. The theme is “Country Western,” and guests are encouraged to be creative. But as always, there is the option of just wearing comfortable jeans, casual clothing or even formal attire. Seating will be under the traditional “tent,” with an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner, and a gourmet dessert table. J & N Music, last year’s deejay, will return to provide musical entertainment and dancing. There will also be special skits, and prizes and surprises. A drawing will be held for raffle tickets, currently on sale, for 10 prizes of cash and jewelry. The grand prize, courtesy of Provident Bank, is $1,000. Winners need not be present for the drawing. Guests will also have an opportunity to stroll around a silent auction display, and bid on a variety of merchandise, gift certificates, and services - donated by individuals, businesses and organizations in the community. Golf enthusiasts, for example, may want to bid on six gift certificates from Crystal Springs Golf and Spa Resort, and Great Gorge Country Club. The proceeds will be used to help fund the modernization and expansion of St. Anthony Community Hospital’s emergency room. Tickets are $55 per person. To purchase, call 986-1882. Organizations or groups may reserve entire tables for 10 guests.
