Spring picnic at the Chester Academy

Chester — The Chester Middle School will hold its first annual spring picnic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28. The event will feature music, barbecue, softball, basketball, a scavenger hunt, and raffles. The cost is $5. Proceeds were intended to benefit the seventh-grade trip to Iowa to compete in the world championship of the Odyssey of the Mind. However, the Iowa trip may be cancelled (please see page 1 for news story). For more information call the school at 469-5052.
