— Throughout the month of September, the Greenwood Lake Public Library presents a special exhibit, “A 9/11 Memorial Tribute: Disaster: A Dozen Years Later: A Photographic Chronicle of Ground Zero at the World Trade Center,” by Associate Professor Susan Slater-Tanner. A reception for the exhibit will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome and no registration is necessary.

Slater-Tanner’s mission has been to chronicle the tragedy and the healing through photography. For the past 12 years, she has traveled to Ground Zero, bringing back to Orange County images from the site for those who cannot physically or emotionally make the journey themselves. She will continue to honor that commitment until the re-opening of the World Trade Center at Ground Zero.

These special exhibits and special programs will offer a time for personal contemplation, reflection, and remembrance, as we honor the victims and their families.
