Soulful blues from Down Under

Lynyrd Skynard drummer to perform on Saturday Chester Bodles Opera House in Chester will present guitarist Geoff Achison, from Melbourne, Australia, on Friday, Aug. 17. His group was voted Band of the Year in the Australian Chaim Awards. He’s released 10 CDs and won awards on three continents, where he tours continuously. In the United States, he’s been on the faculty of Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch for ten years, now. He’s hit many festivals, radio shows and venues over the 14 years he’s toured in the United States. This is his first visit to Bodles. He is bringing Yonrico Scott on drums and Jasper Leek, on bass. The legendary original drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Artimus Pyle, is coming to Bodles this Saturday, Aug. 11. Pyle is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.
