Sing Along Sundays to be featured at Warwick Wine Garden and Piano Bar

— Live musical entertainment is standard fare every day at the new Warwick Wine Garden and Piano Bar, 22 McEwen St. in the Village of Warwick.

And now, with the exception of Easter Sunday, every Sunday in March, from 4 to 8 p.m., beginning March 6, it will feature a sing along open cabaret event co-hosted by singer/actor Tim Mullally and director and performing artist Terry Odell.

Everyone is welcome and talented singers are invited to bring along their sheet music. They will be accompanied on the piano by professional cabaret pianist Jim Quinlan.

But neighbors need not be concerned about the sound.

"Not only are the acoustics great," said Mullally, "but this entire building has been sound proofed."

Restored farmhouse, circa 1905
The Warwick Wine Garden and Piano Bar, located a short walk from Main Street, just next to the entrance of the Fratello Banquet Hall, opened in time for Mardi Gras on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

It is well worth a visit just to see the extraordinary lengths that owners Chris and Marilyn Littell went to restore the 1905 farmhouse and, sparing no expense, they created a downstairs tavern and upstairs piano bar with outstanding décor and attention to detail.

There is also a large patio area, which, weather permitting, will feature grilling over an outdoor fire pit in a picturesque tree-lit setting.

Before entering the tavern, the first thing visitors will notice on the outside is the impressive New Orleans style two-tier porch.

Artisan beers and boutique wineries

The candle lit tavern, which serves cocktails, artisan beers and offers a wine list focusing on boutique wineries from around the world, boasts farm style tables, real leather chairs, chandeliers, antique wine barrels and a hand crafted cherry wood bar.

There are wide screen televisions in the building but, except for special events, they are encased behind custom-made wood framed doors.

The upstairs piano bar, hand crafted from mahogany, is equally impressive and there is a butler style kitchen for Sunday brunch.

"My goal was to create the right atmosphere that people who come to the Hudson Valley expect," said Marilyn Littell. "It should be rustic."
