Warwick - Beginning next week and running through October, the Warwick Historical Society is hosting “Senior Wednesdays” at Baird’s Tavern. The 1766 building at 105 Main St. located next to Key Bank, is a treasure trove of antiques and period clothing. The building is open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The price of admission is normally $5 but for seniors on Wednesday’s it’s $2. Of course, it is free for members of the historical society. Come and see where Martha Washington slept and where George had some stew and grog on his way to Newburgh. Enjoy lemonade and cookies on the veranda. Baird’s Tavern also has an interesting gift shop carrying postcards, books, jewelry, collectibles and the historic throw for those cold winter evenings. Call 986-3236 or 986-4762 for more information.
