Scleroderma Support group hosts yoga instructor
Warwick The Scleroderma Support Group of Orange County, which meets on the fourth Saturday of each month at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital, is looking forward to welcoming back Annie Palmer to its Oct. 28 meeting. Palmer, a yoga instructor, will share some relaxation techniques and some gentle stretching, which can help reduce the pain and muscle tension often associated with Scleroderma and other auto-immune diseases. All are welcome and refreshments will be served. Scleroderma is a chronic connective tissue disease classified as one of the autoimmune rheumatic diseases, affecting approximately 300,000 people in the United States. Scleroderma can develop in every age group, from infants to the elderly, but its onset is most frequent between the ages of 25 and 55. The exact cause of Scleroderma is still unknown.
