Scheuermann Farms’ Sunset Concert returning to Arts Festival
WARWICK — Pack your picnic baskets. Bring blankets and chairs. Bask in the fresh country air.
The Scheuermann family of Warwick is opening up its farm Saturday at 6 p.m. for the return of the Sunset Concert at Scheuermann Farms presented by the Warwick Summer Arts Festival.
The event is family friendly and suitable for all ages.
The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn will headline the musical concert, performing a danceable mix of early jazz, swing and blues with acoustic guitar/vocals, upright bass, homemade washboard percussion, trumpet and saxophone.
Teen bands Chemical Catastrophe and Eleventh Hour, winners of the 2018 Battle of the Bands Fundraiser, will open the show.
The Warwick Dance Collective of the Warwick Center for the Performing Arts will perform in the open air space of the farm, and attendees are welcome to kick off their shoes and dance along.
A suggested donation of $10 at the gate will be welcomed and greatly appreciated. The farm is at 73 Little York Road in Warwick.
The Warwick Summer Arts Festival, a nonprofit organization, provides a summerlong calendar of aart exhibits, hands-on art making, theater, poetry and dance performances, concerts, interactive activities and a mini-film festival.
