— St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Washingtonville is hosting and sponsoring The Eighth Annual Safe Homes’ Gingerbread Project on Saturday, Dec. 8, with two seatings at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

This popular event provides an opportunity for local families to engage with friends and neighbors in a fun holiday tradition, while helping adult and child victims of domestic violence. Participants take home their colorful gingerbread creations to add to holiday decorations. Suggested donations of $15 and $20 include a small or large gingerbread-house kit and a contribution to Safe Homes of Orange County.

For reservations call 496-3961, leave your name, telephone, number and size of house-kits, and desired seating (10 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.). St. Anne’s Episcopal Church is located on Route 94, 179 East Main St., in Washingtonville.

Safe Homes works toward the elimination of domestic violence by offering confidential and comprehensive support services to survivors, and by increasing public awareness through education and prevention programs.
