Roxey Ballet to present ‘An Evening of Romance and Dance'

Loch Sheldrake — Sullivan County Community College will celebrate spring with dance and romance, when The Roxey Ballet will take to the stage of the Seelig Theatre for a performance of “An Evening of Romance and Dance,” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22. According to its Web site, “Roxey Ballet performs cutting edge contemporary ballet to critical acclaim throughout the United States. “Collaborating with noted composers, musicians, and visual artists, Mark Roxey creates original works that stretch and renew the traditions of classical ballet and put a new face on the stereotypical ballet performance.” The company, incorporated in 1995, is based in Lambertville, N.J., with a mission to deliver artistic and cultural excellence and to bring ballet to people of all ages and backgrounds. “An Evening of Romance and Dance” is cosponsored by Sussex County Community College, WSUL Radio, Days Inn of Liberty and the Sullivan County Democrat. General admission $15; admission to seniors, students and staff $12.
