Rosh Hashana services to be held at area synagogues
Jewish congregations will celebrate the New Year, Rosh Hashana, beginning at sundown on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The following is a list of services in the area: Congregation B’nai Torah, in Greenwood Lake will hold services at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, Thursday, Sept. 13, at 9:30 a.m., and Friday, Sept. 14, at 9:30 a.m. Free. Services will be held at the American Legion Hall, Monroe Road., Greenwood Lake. Congregation Eitz Chaim will hold services at its synagogue in Monroe. Also offered is “Preparing for Awe-An evening of Personal Writing,” on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 9 p.m. For more information, call 783-7424.
