    New York — The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is making it easier to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes. For tickets, call Ticketmaster at 866-858-0007. Mention the special code or “MNR” (for Metro-North Railroad) when you order full-price tickets to select performances and for each ticket you purchase (up to eight), you’ll save $10 and receive a free round-trip rail ticket, good for travel to the show. Phone/internet tickets must be purchased 10 days in advance, box office tickets at least one day in advance to receive rail tickets. Eight ticket limit per order. Rail tickets received through this offer are not valid on Monday through Friday morning rush-hour trains arriving in Grand Central Terminal before 10 a.m. or Penn Station before 9:30 a.m. About the show The new 2011 Radio City Christmas Spectacular features new Rockette performances, new musical compositions and heartwarming songs, dazzling new costumes and state-of-the-art technology alongside cherished numbers that have been featured in the show since 1933. Using cutting edge technology, audiences will be part of an immersive holiday experience including a new 3DLive video game adventure and digital projections, as scenery extends beyond the stage transforming the interior of Radio City into a magical canvas. The Christmas Spectacular runs from Nov. 11 through Jan. 2. The show runs 90 minutes and does not have an intermission. The Radio City Music Hall is located on the Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) between 50th and 51st Streets. It’s a brisk walk or a quick cab ride from Grand Central Terminal. From Penn Station, you can walk one block east to Herald Square and catch the B, D, F or M subway lines two stops uptown to 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center, or catch the M5 or M7 buses to 50th Street. Or, from Penn Station you can ride the 1 train to 50 St. and walk two blocks east to Radio City.
