‘Remembrance Of War’

WARWICK — Prof. Richard Hull will moderate an informal conversation on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the A.W. Buckbee Center focused on personal stories during war time and how it affected lives and families.

The program is entitled “‘Remembrance Of War” and will include the following participants:

Robert Fletcher, Korean War veteran and artist of war drawings.

John Stage, World War II Purple Heart Veteran who also remembers stories his father told about the first World War.

Warren McFarland, who will wear his WW II uniform.

Michael Bertolini, Army Intelligence Officer in the Korean War.

Dr. Dave McConnell, who served in the military and has done extensive research about the medical profession during several wars.

The Clothing and Textile Department of the Warwick Historical Society will have garments and accessories from several wars on display.

The Archive Department also will show newspaper articles, letters and other documents from its WW I collection.

The A.W. Buckbee Center (old library building) is located at 2 Colonial Ave. in Warwick. The program runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5 per person, although the fee is waived for historical society members.
