Rehearsals for spring concert to begin

Vernon, N.J. — The Community Choral Society will begin rehearsals for its spring concert on Tuesday, Jan. 31. Rehearsals are held each Tuesday evening from 8 to 9:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Route 94 in Vernon, N.J. New members are welcome and rehearsals are open to singers who want to get a feel for the chorus before joining. New members are encouraged to sit in as early as possible in order to effectively participate. A formal Open House will welcome new members in the coming weeks. The music selections for this season will include Mozart’s Requiem and other classical selections, along with popular music. The society is led by conductor David Crone of Warwick, and accompanied by Eleanore O’ Mara of Vernon, N.J. Funding has been made available by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through the state and county Partnership Block Grant Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council.
