Registration for all Winter and Spring programming begins Jan. 10 at the Greenwood Lake Public Library

— Beginning Thursday, Jan. 10, program registration for all ages will begin at the Greenwood Lake Public Library.
Patrons may register either online at www.gwllibrary.org, by phone at 845-477-8377 ext. 101 or in person at the front desk.
ChildrenFor children, programs begin in February when Story Time returns Thursday, Feb. 7.
Pajama Story Time returns Wednesday, Feb. 13 (6:30-7:15 p.m.) and Melinda Burgard will have three upcoming music programs (Fridays, March 1, April 5 and May 3, 10:30-11:15 a.m.).
Other upcoming children’s programs for ages 4-9 include Arctic Friends (Saturday, Feb. 9, 11 a.m. to noon, Science Tellers: “Wild West: Mystery of the Golden Piano” (Saturday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m. to noon) and Animal Embassy presents Nature Rocks! (Saturday, March 23, 10:30-11:30 a.m.).
All kids 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Kids 10-17For kids ages 10-17, there will the Hip Hop Garage Band Songwriting and Green Screen Music Video Workshop with singer/songwriter Alice Leon (Saturday, Feb. 9, 1-2 p.m.), a Babysitting Workshop with the Childcare Council of Orange County (Saturday, March 9, 1-3 p.m.) and Comic Book Drawing with the renowned, prolific artist Mark McKenna (Saturday, March 23, 1-2 p.m.).
The Youth Study Room, open to kids fifth grade through high school, will continue with Monthly Bingo, Movie Nights on the other Tuesdays of the month and Wednesday Game Night.
There is a craft night scheduled, Decorate Valentine’s Day Cookies, on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 6-7 p.m.
AdultsAs for adult programming, the library will kick off with Elvis is in the House (Saturday, Feb. 16, 2-3 p.m.) with the celebrated impersonator Bob James McArthur.
Upcoming concerts include the New York-born, County Sligo-style fiddler Brian Conway and guitarist John Walsh returning for Irish music (Thursday, March 21, 7-8 p.m.) and “That 70’s Girl” Deb DeLucca performs a selection of rock and pop covers (Saturday, May 18, 1-2 p.m.).
Other programs coming soon are Cooking for One on a Budget (Saturday, March 2, 1-2:30 p.m.), The Secret to Healthy Houseplants (presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County Master Gardeners, Saturday, March 16, 1-2 p.m.), and Maximize Your Coupons (Thursday, April 4, 7-8 p.m.).
Chair Yoga returns on Fridays on March 15, returning to Mondays on April 15 (11 a.m. to noon for both).
Defensive Driving also returns (Saturday, April 6, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $30, Greenwood Lake residents, $40 for non-residents).
And Robin Ingram will be back with a day of Basket Weaving (Saturday, May 4, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., $12 non-refundable supply fee).
