    GREENWOOD LAKE — The Greenwood Lake Public Library will be running a three-session 3D printing workshop on consecutive Thursdays in April (11, 18 and 25) from 6 to 7 p.m.
    Participants will learn the steps to creating their own project starting with understanding the software, followed by sending projects to one of the library’s in-house 3D printers.
    All participants will print at least one project during this program.
    The class will be instructed by local teacher Victor Pignataro. Mr. “P” has been an essential part of the Greenwood Lake School system for years, wearing many different hats.
    He is currently the Project Lead The Way educator at the school for Grades K-3 and 5. Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs are a series of modules, units or courses available for elementary, middle, and high schools, respectively.
    Their comprehensive programs also include in-depth professional development for teachers, live classroom support and more.
    PLTW offers five programs:
    • PLTW Launch, designed for grades K-5;
    • PLTW Gateway, designed for grades 6-8; and
    • PLTW Computer Science, PLTW Engineering, and PLTW Biomedical Science, each designed for grades 9-12.
    Pignataro recently taught the three-week 3D printing program to children in grades 3-5 and grades 6-9, respectively, this past February at the library.
