Reeves to play Bodles before album release
Chester Singer-songwriter Jason Reeves will play Bodles Opera House in Chester, at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19. Reeves has come from nowhere (well, Iowa) to have his songs reach the top of the charts on iTunes and MySpace, thanks to his close association with fellow singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat. Reeves writes, plays guitar and sings on many of the tracks that have helped propel Caillat to her No. 1 unsigned artist position on both charts, largely on the strength of the hit single “Bubbly.” In addition, Reeves’ own MySpace page has been No. 1 Folk for eight weeks, remaining firmly in the Top 50 overall and Top 10 Acoustic for several months. The 22 year-old Reeves, who left his native Iowa for Los Angeles barely two years ago to pursue his music career, pens songs of love, hope, heartbreak and renewal that have clearly struck a chord with his listeners.
