Warwick — Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will present the female trio Red Molly at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 114 Little York Road in Warwick. The trio of Laurie MacAllister, Abbie Gardner and Carolann Solebello weaving their voices in harmony over a myriad of stringss: guitar, banjo, mandolin and dobro. Their repertoire includes carefully-selected material, ranging from Appalachian ballads to 20th-century pop and country standards, and contemporary folk. “Red Molly has taste, talent, and voices to die for. They make music the way it should be made: raw, powerful, and beautiful. With this band, you hear and feel the soul inside the songs. It’s music to make the spirit soar,” stated Michael Scott Cain, author of “Midnight Train.” The trio have been singing for audiences in the tri-state area and beyond since forming in late 2004. This marks the second time they have graced the winery stage; they first appeared at the winery for the Harvest Moon Wine and Folk Festival last September. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. The winery’s bakery and café will be open, offering a bistro-style menu. Tickets are $10 in advance, and $13 at the door. Due to limited seating, reservations are recommended. For more information, call 258-4858 or write to wvwinery@warwick.net.
