‘Real Barn Dance'at Hill Hold Museum

    Goshen — “A Real Barn Dance” will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Hill Hold Museum in Montgomery. This afternoon of line dancing in the barn will be instructed by “Kickin’ with Kathy and Billy.” The $6-per-person admission includes a dance lesson and three hours of “foot stomping” suitable for beginners and pros alike. After the dancers work up an appetite, they may buy hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and beverages at the concession stand. The Friends of Hill-Hold and Brick House Museums, in collaboration with the Orange County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. All proceeds will benefit the museum, which is located on Route 416 between Goshen and Montgomery. It includes a stone farmhouse that was built in 1769 and reflects the life of the Bull-Jackson family, spanning over 200 years; a one-room schoolhouse, farm animal exhibits, an 1870 barn, and gift shop.
