Quilt guild to hold show in May

    Warwick —The Warwick Valley Quilt Guild will hold its Stars of the Valley Quilt Show 2008 on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18, at the Sanfordville Elementary School, 144 Sanfordville Road, Warwick. Non-members are invited to enter quilts that they have made for judging or display. The quilt registration deadline is Tuesday, April 8. Anyone wishing to enter a quilt can access the quilt guild Web site at www.wvqg.com to see the guidelines and to obtain an entry form. Questions should be directed to mmhall@warwick.net or by mail (SASE) to: Martha Hall, WVQG Quilt Show Registration, 2 Higgins Drive, Vernon, NJ 07462 The Warwick Valley Quilt Guild has a membership of 145 people living in the Hudson Valley on both sides of the state line. The guild provides educational programs for its members as well as participating in community service projects. In addition, the Quilt Show Raffle funds will be used to provide scholarships to local students to further their education in the arts and fabric arts.
