Poetry reading Nov. 4 at Baby Grand Books

    Warwick — The third free poetry reading at Baby Grand Books will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 West Street, Warwick. Joan I. Siegel’s poetry has appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, The American Scholar, Commonweal, The Gettysburg Review, Prairie Schooner, The Amicus Journal, Witness, Poetry East, Poet Lore, The North American Review, The Journal of Genocide Research and Alaska Quarterly Review. Twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize, she is the recipient of the New Letters Poetry Prize and the Anna Davidson Rosenberg Award. She also is co-author of “Peach Girl: Poems for a Chinese Daughter,” a book dedicated to their daughter Emily. Fred Buell is a poet and writer, author of two books of poems, “Full Summer” and “Theseus and Other Poems,” as well as three books of prose. A professor of English at Queens College, he has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the New York State Council on the Arts.
