This classic Broadway show-within-a-show features egotistical performer Fred Graham who is reunited with his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi in the leading roles of Petruchio and Kate in Taming of the Shrew. Throughout the show they banter and fight, although obviously still in love with each other. Meanwhile, due to mistaken identity, two gangsters harass Fred. Also, two former cabaret performers cast in Taming of the Shrew, Lois Lane and Bill Calhoun struggle to keep their romance alive. The accent is on comedy in this toe-tapping, knee-slapping battle of the sexes. The music and lyrics are by Cole Porter and the book is by Sam and Bella Spewack. The production is under the direction of David Mossey, who is also providing the choreography. Amanda Williams is the Musical Director. The Stage Manager is Jen Mille.
