Pine Island Black Dirt Farmers Market hosts Uncle Shoehorn and friends this Saturday

    Pine Island — Uncle Shoehorn and Friends will be playing the Pine Island Black Dirt Farmers Market on Saturday, Aug. 27. This five-piece electric band performs favorites from blues to classic rock to reggae and funk. Visit the UncleShoehorn page on Facebook and listen to some of their performances. The chamber is also proud to have the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pulaski Fire Company as this week’s community partner. Come on down, bring some lawn chairs and enjoy some fabulous live music and support your local farmers, businesses and firehouse. The market, which runs Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Oct 8 at Pine Island Park, features a variety of local products including fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables; grass-fed meats; plants; hanging baskets; herbs and herb-infused olive oils; fresh baked breads; maple syrup; local eggs; Pine Island honey; pies; cookies; gourmet cupcakes; cookies; beef jerky; soaps and lotions.
