Sugar Loaf — “About the Light” will exhibit the work of landscape photographer Nick Zungoli, from the years 2004 to 2005. An artist reception will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, at The Exposures Gallery in Sugar Loaf. Since Zungoli opened gallery in 1979, twenty-six years ago, he has developed a loyal following of collectors. Guests find Zungoli’s signature work of the Hudson to Delaware region on permanent display. His photographs are characterized by simple compositions, profound stillness, and diffused light. The event will also be book signing and offer a newly released 2006 Calendar. Zungoli will autograph his book, “Hudson to Delaware: The Great Valley,” for guests. A color calendar, featuring landscapes of Orange County from his book, and produced by the Orange County Land Trust, will be on sale. All proceeds from the calendar will benefit the land trust. The gallery, located at 1357 King’s Highway in Sugar Loaf, is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. “About the Light” can be viewed through January 20, 2006.
