WEST POINT-The Hudson Highlands Photo Workshop, a group of serious amateur, semi-professional and professional photographers, has been asked to return to Eisenhower Hall at The U.S. Military Academy. An opening reception to be held on Sunday, April 10, from 4 to :p.m. in the Class of 1929 Gallery will mark the start of the exhibit. Visitors are also welcome to view the group's work before or after any Eisenhower Hall show, as well as from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, through May 14th. "There are no rules for good photographs," Ansel Adams once said, "there are only good photographs." And while no one in the group pretends to be the next Ansel Adams, this juried exhibit, entitled "With Light and Lens," promises to be a collection of the group's finest work to date. For those interested in making a day of it, "Simple Gifts," a musical performance by three women with 12 instruments, begins at 2 p.m. at Eisenhower Hall. Tickets for "Simple Gifts" are available through the box office at 938-4159 or visit www.ikehall.com. The photo exhibit is open to the general public and no tickets are required for viewing.
