Penny social to benefit historical society

The Chester Historical Society will hold its popular annual penny social on Friday, Sept. 9, at the senior citizens center, located behind the Chester Public Library at 1786 Kings Highway in Chester. Come out, have some fun, and check out all the new items available. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the calling starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $2. Refreshments are available.
