Warwick — The Circle of Peace “Peace Wall Memorial,” located on the grounds of Sanfordville Elementary School, will be open on Sunday, Sept. 11, for anyone seeking a place to contemplate peace or pay personal tribute to those affected by the events of September 11, 2001. In the morning, from 7:30 a.m. to noon, visitors may come and go as they wish for silent reflection. They will be offered the opportunity to dedicate a memorial stone (stones will be available). The commemoration will take place rain or shine, with a tent and seating available. In the evening, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., several area musicians will perform at the site. The Circle of Peace Memorial was created by Sanfordville students in grades 3 and 4 in response to Sept. 11 events, as an expression of their hopes for a more peaceful and just world.
