Benedict Arnold, the patriot and traitor of the American Revolution, will be the subject of the lecture series presented by the Monroe Historical Society on Saturday, March 8, beginning at 10 a.m., in the upper level Senior Center on Mine Road in Monroe. The program will be presented by John Parson of Monroe, who discuss Arnold’s expedition to capture Canada from the British. Parson has spent many years exploring Arnold’s route to Canada and he will display many of the artifacts he uncovered prior to shipping them to the Arnold Museum in Maine.
